    Hello,

My friend Sherrie & I worked on this Patriotic quilt together to be raffled this year. The proceeds will help pay for packages to be sent to the troops @ Christmas. Say hi to Sherrie everyone! :D She is the one who told me about this quilting board. She reads the quilters message board everyday but I haven't been able to talk her into posting yet. Sherrie got this pattern from a 2008 Best of Quilting - Block & Pattern- a- Day Calandar. The Original pattern is called Celebrate America Quilt by Debby Kratovil 2005. We changed some of the blocks a little as Sherrie has an embroidery machine & a nice eagle pattern. I ended up changing the pinwheel due to a miscalculation on my part & since I didn't want to start the blocks over...I extended the block. We also increased the size of our blocks from 5" to 10" for a larger finished quilt.

Hi Sherrie! Hope you join in! Thanks for bringing us Pam!

This is a beautiful quilt and I really like how you "fixed" the pinwheel block! Now you should name it, because you came up with that and it really is pretty!

Celeste...I just figure someone else has probably already adjusted a pinwheel block that way before me. I probably just need to "find" the name?? LOL

Pam, I think your "adjusted" pinwheel is better then the regular one! It sets off the block on your beautiful quilt better. Lots of luck with the raffle income. It is sure for a good cause.

Hi Oofta, Thanks, I did do the quilting on that. It is just free motion quilting & meandering all over the quilt. I wanted to add the stars to keep in line with the theme. Sherrie wasn't too sure about my idea for adding the stars (before I did them) but was happy with the results.

Thanks to everyone for all the nice coments!! We really appreciate them, don't we Sherrie? LOL She said yes I'm sure!!
