What a lovely tribute you have given to him and I am sure that he is so very proud of you and the banner.

I did that exact same banner in a machine embroidery club I take once a month; exact same design, wording and the banner itself. It's a great gift for any veteran or active duty person. Great job doing it by hand. Not sure I would do that. Love the machine embroidery.

Her patterns do come in machine discs as well... but as I dislike the look of machine embroidery I chose to do it by hand. I found it so relaxing and enjoyable that I am still hand embroidering! I did a whole embroidery quilt top and now I'm embroidering vintage designs on kitchen towels for Christmas gifts. It all started with this wall hanging!
