the middle picture is my progress so far on a quilt using the french braid method. there are 5 columns like this. so far, they're only half as long as they'll need to be.

I really like the quilt top - very bright - almost mesmerizing -
I like the way you balanced the ends - your way seems to "settle" my viewing of it.
That same pattern/design would work well in many fabrics - I'm thinking black, white, and some other color.
The center piece is pretty - looks like it might be slow going to make it.
What size do you make the tops?

yes ... the checkerboard french braid goes much slower than i thought it would. all those seams to match. OY! :lol:
the target size is at least 50" x 60". mine are averaging either that or 60" x 60". square quilts are so much easier than rectangular.
