I first used a Water Lily pattern turned sideways to create an "under the sea" quilt for my granddaughter's first baby. Monica wanted this theme without making it a "Finding Nemo" quilt. It turned out well and she loved it. A couple years later Angela, another granddaughter, wanted a "Forest Animals" theme for her first baby. I used the same pattern to create her quilt. It was also a hit.

Oh my gosh, they are wonderful. The background is wonderful with those cute, cute, cute fish. And then you rearranged and changed the colors to make it perfect for the woods quilt. Your colors are so wonderful.

I had help with the applique. It's wonderful to be in a quilting group where everyone helps each other. My sister Lynn, helped design the tree. I used a child's coloring book to copy the bears. I was happy that they came out as good as they did. I used my embroidery machine for the fish and a couple of the animals on the forest quilt. Thanks for all the kind reviews.
