For Christmas my youngest daughter made chalk cloth placemats for her nieces. She bought the chalk cloth at Hancocks, cut it to the size she wanted, sewed on a pocket to hold the chalk, attached a flannel eraser with ribbon and backed with cute fabric. It can be rolled up and tied closed for easy packing.

They are great entertainment for kids waiting in a restaurant for their food to arrive. They can draw, play games, etc. My granddaughters love theirs!

I just wanted to share the idea with you for anyone who has small children or grands.

I painted a wall in our basement with chalk paint. The kids love it! Cloth- cool idea! I'll have to find some.

What a great idea!! My grands are almost too big for that, but good idea for gifts.

Thanks for the idea!!!

My son-in-law owns a restuarant and for the kids that come in it would be a great idea to keep them busy!!

Thanks again!!
