Love the idea of the flannel for the backing. I have been working on I spy quilts for my two grandsons. Maybe I'll try the flannel. Sure glad I only have two:)

Yes, some folks are reluctant to use flannel, but I have not have any problems with it. I like the softness that it gives the final quilt. The only problem is that you always have to piece the backing. BUT, so far, I've never used anything for a backing that I didn't have to piece!!!
