I want to make an Irish Chain soon. I'd love for everyone to post ones they've made here. 8) Would you tell me if it's single, double, or triple when you do?

I can't post a photo... I don't have one (yet).

They 'can' be easy. I have the booklet "Time for a Chain" by Nancy J Smith & Lynda S Milligan. It was very, very helpful with pressing directions and peicing info. This was my first Irish chain.
Here is the TRIPLE that I did a few years ago. King size for my sister.

grammy that is just beautiful! It sucks you in the way only a quilt can! :) Karla, don't forget about that beautiful Chain Terri did with the cardinal fabric. Let me see if I can find it. :)

Oh gosh I love them!! I think my confidence is having seams match is stronger due to my new machine.

grammy--that is some quilt!! I love your color choices. :D

Terri's is a single and it's all based on how many fabrics are in the pieced square?

This thread has a picture of my double irish chain I made several years ago. It isn't hard to do at all.

This was done the 'hard' way... by hand...
people want to know if 'hand quilting' is dead or whatever... I say,
"been there, done that, got the t-shirt, - put it in a quilt"....

I have soooo much more fun doing stuff the 'easy' way and on the machines now....
