Default photos of my sewing

I started playing with raw edge applique, unfortunately I tend to go to the extreme when I start something. Then give me 30 days I found my bug fabrics that I'd been collecting for the bug jar quilt and since I didn't have anything better to do cut it out and sewed it up over the weekend. it turned out really cute.

The cat strippy was cheating a little. I started those in November when someone gave me a huge bag of strips. I spent several days in front of the tv after work when hubby was on travel just sewing strips. I find it very relaxing. (Hubby has this strange idea that since my sewing room is the entire furnished basement, my sewing should be confined to that area. Please. ) But they were kind of boring, so I thought animal silhouettes. I printed out some cats and ta da! these cute blocks. They're no longer boring.
