Exactly! They have a primative (SP?) vibe to them. I love, love, love the fabrics & your quilt is fabulous! I wouldn't want to use it for a picnic, tho... I'd want to use it all year 'round! Kudos!

I love these colors and your quilt is awesome. Something else for me to eventually do. A picnic quilt. Good idea.
Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes.

Ladies thank you for your kind words. Ya, my dh and the term "muddy" makes me crazy. He prefers bright colors....like the rainbow.

The pattern is called "Picnic". It is from Primitive Gatherings. I enlarged it with help from a lady here on the board. At some point I came across hers and asked her some questions on how she enlarged it.

    Thanks again!

I love your quilt too. I am a new admirer of the Kansas Troubles lines of fabrics. Very old fashioned looking.

I also love the Kansas Troubles fabric lines. To me the colors can be muted or vibrant & a lot depends on the pattern & colors used in the quilt. I like your quilt. I can see it covering a picnic table.

Sometimes you just have to sit in a chair and jog in order to get anywhere.
