I made the king-sized rail fence quilt with 2 sets of matching shams for my best friend, Sam, in honor of her 50th birthday and our friendship of 35 years. The Sawtooth Star w/2 sets of matching pillowcases was made for her 55th birthday, and 40 years of friendship. If I could have a sister, it would be her. The Rail fence has 440-4" blocks. Both quilts came from 'Quick Quilts from Your Scrap Bag'. I am getting better at using my digital camera and being able to post pics. Thanks for looking. Both quilts were the first time I ever made those patterns and I loved them.

King-sized rail fence, made of scraps except for the borders.

There have been several threads about labeling your quilt. The Rail Fence is named "Tried but True", honoring both the quilt pattern and the friendship. The Sawtooth Star was name "Scattered Stars" in honor of no matter where we are, and we live 400 miles apart, that we are always there for each other.
Thank you for your kind and warm comments.

Great quilts and love the color. Red white and blue is the best.
