Some of you have asked for the large star pattern. I found the star in Material Obsession two Doughty and Fielke

    http://www.amazon.com/Material-Obses...0943977&sr=1-1

The pattern that inspired me is Kismet P. 36

I did alter it as I had mostly odd pieces of fabric. DH had bought several pillow case kits from Walmart clearance for $1 a piece. This worked out as I really have no kids fabrics right now. All it really is is a simple star on steroids. ~smile~

I LOL when I saw the sea life backing, one of my favorite fabrics for kids. I make bibs to keep my hands busy in the evening and use creatures from that fabric as the centerpiece in the bibs.

Your baby quilts look great! Anita's methods made a big difference my quilting, she's a sharp cookie!

Here is another free online star baby quilt pattern. It is slightly different and made of half square triangles but overal has the same look.

I designed a baby quilt where you find the middle left to right and make a flap equal to half of the quilt. The top of the main quilt would be baby blue and the lower part would be primary colors but there would be a third section equal to half the quilt (like a book page). The upper side of the "page" matches the baby blue top but the lower side of the "page" matches the primary color bottom of the main quilt. I then stitch down the flap so the baby blue side would show while the boy is a baby and when he got older I would remove the stitching and them stitch the flap so the primary color side would be showing. Design by Zoeytoo.
