I don't have many pictures, and the ones I have are scattered throughout the forum, but in a new thread, asking about scraps, it was suggested that we have a place to post pictures regarding "What are you doing with scraps?"
So, to encourage newbies and any others who are considering a new hobby of stitching scrap anything ...
I start this thread, and post a couple of pictures ...

little scraps from a one day mystery back in August - - I don't even remember when we did it! LOL

Omak I like what you've done with your scraps. I particularly love the one with the coin on it. It's mind-boggling to think of all the scraps I have!!!

It is interesting to see what happens when all one is doing is putting one piece of fabric with another one <g> I am thinking that what I want to do is find a fabric to go between them to make them the same size and maybe create some cohesiveness (like I really had a plan!)

They look great. I just bought a book on this which shows some decorative stitching on the blocks, just an idea, if you have a machine with some neat stitches use a contrast thread and stitch down the lines of the blocks.

The name of the book I am talking about is " ART INSPIRATIONS" BY Judith Baker Montano. i go it for a silly price on Amazon. The author has some beautiful waistcoats made using this tecnique.

Here is one I made for a book cover as yet unfinished until I get some more time. I used gold thread and a herringbone stitch on my machine and just stitched on top of the blocks. However if you are going to use them for a quilt they would need to be stitched first. Lot of work but looks really special.
