Default Pictures of the signature quilt I am working on.

I am trying to not make it look to girly so I added soccer & football fabric too. It has all the things that the little girl said she liked and I found a all sports fabric for the border.

I will be taking the white squares in to the football team so the players can sign them. I also have had no luck finding the Pigma pens but I do have a pack of Tulip permanent fabric markers. Has anyone had any luck with them?

What do u guys think? Would u change anything?

I would say only to sew it all together and then have the team sign it....non-sewers don't leave a seam allowance and write or draw up to the edge.

Your layout looks great. I agree with getting the finished top signed.

Looks great! I had to laugh because I think I own every fabric you have in that quilt. I guess our minds go the same direction.

I would get the squares signed first, and would suggest that you have a few spare siggy blocks, someone is sure to mess theirs up and a spare on hand will be a save. Use masking or painters tape to create a frame on the blocks, it will give a bit of stability as well as defining the space to be signed, so no signing in the seam allowances

To get the players to sign in the right area, this is what I did for a friend's quilt. I cut the muslin squares and cut a piece of cardboard the same size as the square. Then I cut a window in the cardboard and told the folks to line up the cardboard and the fabric and sign in the window. Perfectly placed every time! And I found Pigma pens just a couple weeks ago in HobbyLobby. They're not with regular writing utensils but with the art supplies.

Default How's it looking?

Top sewed & signed now for the border then the long arm! I have a fabric with all sports on it but not sure it I want to do that or a solid. Whats your thoughts?

The other thing I am thinking of is to quilt around the S so it will bring it out more!
