Too cute...! I was wondering where you found the pattern for the Butterflies? A friend of mine loves Butterfiles, and I bet she would love this pattern.

The butterfly is my pattern. Its basically a 4 patch. the butterfly body is 1 1/2" black squares with 1 1/2" strips added to one side of the first one, then a 3 1/2" square with a 1 1/2" strip added, the same on the bottom side of the butterfly. The wings are a 4 1/2" square of batik with a diagonally folded 4 1/2" white square which is sewn into the seam. then the folded edge turned back and stitched over the batik to make it look curved. (machine buttonhole stitch) I hope that is clear enough to follow. Anyone is welcome to use the pattern. Oh yes, antenna are stitched on with embroidery.

Thank-you so much for your instruction on the quilt, I am e-mailing them to my friend and I'm sure she'll be able to figure it out.

Nice... ;-)
