    Pieced cherry block

I seem to have a thang for cherries lately. I've seen a few pieced cherry quilts while surfing the net. So I decided to draw up my own. I first tried it in EQ, the block was terrible. But good enough to finish designing the rest of the quilt. To make the cherry block I grabbed my graph paper.

that is a pattern that was on the web correct? you saw the quilt and designed the block by looking at it? I know I have seen the whole quilt pattern before... I am a total cherry fan myself.. love how you made it work just by a piece of paper.. I am not so quick I look and do it in my head or draw it, did it occur to me to use graph paper? NOOOO. I think its super you shared how to with us.

I love it! Isn't it amazing that with all our gadgets today, we often pull out methods like our graph paper and pencils to get the result we want?! I did the same with a baby quilt that I wanted for October. Couldn't find what I wanted for pumpkin design.......So out came the graph paper. Don't have a pic of quilt, but still have graph somewhere!
