Cute collection. Does anyone else collect pincushions just for display. I do but mine are mostly from the 50's and earlier and ceramic animals.

I collect pin cushions. I had an assortment. One is a ceramic lion with his crown the pin cushion and a tape measure that pulls out of his tail. I have them on my shelf in my sewing room. I would love to see a pic of yours.

I know exactly what lion you are talking about it was one of my firsts. There are a few pics so please be patient. I have been collecting for awhile . Most I have purchased but a few I have been given as gifts. And one is a music box.
Of course not everything is a pin cushion . Some of my ceramic pieces are little ashtrays or toothpick holders.

Wow that is quite a collection. My lion is not in the great shape as yours. Poor fellow came from an estate sale and he looks a bit worse for wear. My collection is mostly handmade from friends and family and not near as many as yours. Where did you find your lions?

My first lion my DD found in an antique shop. The others I got off of ebay. I don't mind wear on mine I even got a few off ebay that have cracks and no one else wanted them because of that. I gave them a home ,I have a few cracks myself. Just means we have lived a little.
I haven't bought any in a while because the prices went up so crazy high. And the shipping is just nuts.
