The hen with the purple topknot escaped from my coop. May I have her back, please?

Those are so cute! Do you use two layers of material when you make them? I made a couple pincushions, used the crushed walnut shells, turned out very cute, but seemed rather thin. I thought maybe I was suppose to layer the material. Any suggestions?

I only used 1 layer of fabric and then used 1 layer of warm & natural. On the tapestry ones I used a fusible pellon and ironed it on. I just used some polyester craft batting for the stuffing. I'm going to try one with the crushed walnut shells. I have a log cabin chicken that a friend made me and she only used the walnut shells and didn't fill it up to the top.

I've given 4 away and need to make some more to give 4 more away. I haven't even used one for myself yet.

They are all so cute. I'd have trouble deciding which to use.
