I did alot of unpicking you have to concentrate to get the colours in the right places

you can print a pineapple block from quilters cache http://www.quilterscache.com/P/Pineapple2Block.html
and play with colouring it in the origional i had was 2 shades of each colour a dk and a light make 2 of each. 4 blocks to a pattern then make as many as you want

If you go to www.colourfulstitches.com, Gyleen has a great tool for pineapples. It's a plastic ruler that does everything. It has the marks to cut the strips and center squares and trimming and it's just great. I took a class recently and just loved it. She is great and doesn't mind if you contact her when you get stuck on something. Hers are scrappy pineapples but the principle is the same. There's books to go along with the ruler too. I have the book too.
