The paisley elephants are printed; the fabric is called "Marrakech" by Valori Wells and comes in different colorways.

Love that! I am sure the new mom will love it. Piecing the back can turn into a lot of fun. I rarely make a quilt without piecing the back. If you don't use extra wide fabric, you have to piece at some level, so you might as well make it fun!
