    Great quilt. I would try the wool batting. It's wonderful when I'm really chilled.

    I did quite a bit of reading on this and most places said the same thing. Wool is the warmest (but is incredibly expensive over here!). Then polyester and finally cotton and bamboo about equal. This is mainly because polyester usually has higher loft so traps more air - as long as the quilting isn’t too dense.

    I usually use 100% cotton or 80/20 blends as they are more breathable
