yesterday we finally tackled the worst part of quilting to me....sandwiching and pinning. The only place I can possibly do a full size quilt is the school/play room and that involves moving everything around. So it is a chore. When I finally make a king size quilt for my bed I'm going to have to figure something else out...it aint gonna fit here! Anyway i ended up with LOTS of help. Even the kitten decided to help us......she made sure there were no suspicious bumps in the quilt anywhere and that all the safety pins were doing their job.

How fun is that. My house used to be that full, (sad face) they have moved out and married, and now grandbabies (happy face)
Enjoy the help!
Home schooler? I have one teen left to home school.
Enjoy!

How cute! Lucky you to have helpers! Mine are still a little too young for sharps objects. :)

I have trouble with finding the room too. The quilt I am making now, I pinned half of it and then the other half. It worked fine that way.

How lucky you are, mine are all out of the nest now and all over the country. Nice looking kids and good looking quilt.

How lucky can you get. There is nothing like family time. Your children are beautiful and so is the quilt.

I just had to pin my king size bow tie quilt. I can get a full and queen on the floor in the livingroom, but not the king, but...I found the trick. I lay the backing on my king size bed, then add the batting and top. I can keep it straight and pin it standing at the end of the bed (roll it up as I pin it, and pull it down towards me to continue). Works GREAT. No more getting on the floor for me.
