I had made the first block for an exchange that I am in - it was less than an 1/8th short - PatriceJ made me feel so guilty I had to remake it so now here is the perfect one

I almost stopped quilting after the first class I took because the instructor said we had to be perfect and we had to tear out anything that was an nth off (yes, I did mean nth). Fortunately, I decided to not let anyone make me feel inadequate and that a nth off was not good enough.

If the block wasn't for a swap - trust me I wouldn't have bothered either  But now I have a block for me and one to give away

PERFECT You will fill much better knowing it is going into someone else's quilt now if it was for my own I would use it because nobody is perfect

Both are pretty to me. Since you had to redo it, take the first one, frame it and put it on your wall in your sewing room.

Both are pretty, but I love the first one, with the blue in it.

Good job! Bravo for re-doing it. In my opinion there is nothing worse than receiving a block that isn't acceptable. I've decided after partcipating in a couple of swaps not to do them any more. I understand that they are open to all skill levels and we all started somewhere but...on the last swap I had to make 4 blocks to replace ones that were so far off from the size or were lopsided. I would rather receive an easy block made well than a crooked or wrong sized block. What we send to one another is a reflection of us, not just our eye for color. It should always be our "best foot forward".
