    Smile placemat

    here is my quilt as you go placemat from scrapes of material. Making it for my daughter & granddaughter for next Christmas. 8 for daughter & 6 for granddaughter

    How fun to use so many different fabrics together. You are doing a great job and your daughter and granddaughter will really appreciate them.

    I've been looking for a quilt as you go project, that wasn't individual blocks that had to be attached. This is perfect!!

    Love your colors and your idea. One can always use more placemats. I am trying to decide which ones to make for myself.
    Also want to comment on your gray fiskars mat. Bought mine in the 80's and when it started to show wear, went out to buy a new one. They don't make them anymore!! I was so disappointed, because I love the way it doesn't slip when using the rotary cutter. The new ones seem to slip more, or is it just the one I bought?

    I really like them....colourful without being overpowering. Will go beautifully with all types of china settings.
