    Default Placemats

I finished this set of placemats tonight that I made for my mom. I've taken my mom on several to Maine and as soon as I saw this set of charm squares I knew I needed to make something for her because the fabric reminds me of our trips. I found a yard of the print with the crabs and lobsters on the cream background on ebay and used that for the back, so they are actually reversible. I did cut the charm squares down to 4.5" to make the proportions work better. I used Stiff Stuff by Sew Lazy for the batting layer. These are also my first project on my new Pfaff Performance 5.0. I quickly decided that I love it!

Very nice! My mom used a different set of placemats at every meal. When dinner was done she would just throw that set in the laundry. I'm sure your mom will love them!
