I've been having a blast on my 103yo treadle today, piecing long scrap strips of Moda Bliss with white solids and prints. I'm trying one of the projects from Missouri Star Quilting Company, the Summer In The Park quilt. It's a tube quilt and a lot of fun. Love the tutes from MSQC!

MSQC has an awesome pinwheel block tute. I made this perfect pinwheel from it in less than 10 minutes.

so do you have the 6 fabrics to make the tube, then cut the triangle when its folded at the center colors? Do you leave enough space inbetween each cut to use the leftover triangles? I haven't seen this method... do you have a link to the pinwheel tute?

Yes, it's that blue link in my original post (above). Very easy. My strips were only 32" long, rather than the 40" layer cake strips, and it came out with very little waste. There are two small pieced triangles leftover from each tube after cutting, which I will put together into a smaller baby quilt later. Watch the video!

Oops, just saw you wanted the pinwheel link. It's going to be in the same group of videos as the other, just hunt around for the one for pinwheels, or look on the Missiouri Star Quilting Company's website.
