"With a Song in my Heart".

My Dad was very close to me and I always feel he is the song in my heart. He is the light of my life. Gone for too many years.
He and I played the organ. I never told him but I preffered the piano. He is the reason I love music. Such a joy he is the song in my heart.

Notes from the Heart. So many good suggestions already. How to choose?

I too play the accordion for 45 years. I acutally worked my way through college playing weddings, etc. So much fun. I have two nephews now who are both autistic & they love to come over & have concerts with me. I play the accordion, one plays the piano & one the drums. Then they move on to a guitar & other percussion instruments. They want to play our cello & viola, but not yet. We can do this for hours. We love it!!!

I love your story. I also play the accordion. But I think it is almost a lost instrument--one this generation doesn't really appreciate. I think we do because of Lawrence Welk. I started playing at 12, and was taught by an Italian young man--whom my mom did NOT trust. I chuckle about it now. My parents were missionaries in Africa, so I used it a lot in the villages to do evangelism. Then I also became a missionary in Africa and used SO much. Now I am in the States--and never use it except for my own enjoyment. And I love your block. I would call it "Happy Keys" as the accordion plays happy music.

Beautiful story. What a great friend. Your quilt is gorgeous and so is your accordion.

What a great thing to happen to you on a sad day. One just never knows - friends are just so special.
