Default On Point Charms with 9P border

Hello Quilters, I wanted or felt the need to do some piecework. Since I already had most of these scrappy 5 inch squares I decided to make this. Everything was from my stash so it’s not color coordinated. I did have my dark and lights better positioned, but somewhere between the layout and sewing machine, this is where they are-lol This came out 70 x 89 but I know I will lose some by the time I quilt it and wash. I am showing the backside of my pinked seam allowances after I see the seams. I like a neat back and no fraying or raveling, even though nobody else sees.

That is really cute, I love the yellow boarder on it and your color combinations.

...and then there's the back of the quilt top I just finished today, the complete opposite of yours. Your pretty, cheerful quilt is a pleasure to look at but I'm fascinated by how neat the back is -- I even enlarged it to get a better look -- and tomorrow I'm taking my current top and trying to follow your example for neatness instead of something that looks like string city. Even tho, as you said, nobody else will see it.

What a fun happy quilt! Love the yellow, it really adds a sweet vintage feel to it, can’t wait to see it all quilted, beautiful work as always.

I like this pattern. And nice job with the pinked edges. My quilts never look this neat

A perfectly lovely use of what was in your stash. Good example for all us when we get the urge to just piece something. Here is the patter we could use. I can envision this layout in so many different color ways: red/white/blue, blacks and white, civil war, 1930's or in a single color way or just random. Oh what fun to give this one a try. Thank you for the good ideas.
