    Polar Bear Swim

This was my first attempt at using a pattern to make a quilt and in this case a wall hanging designed by Cindy Shake an Alaskan artist. Although, this piece is only 15 inches, it was quite enjoyable to make with the different colored batiks and threads. Even learned how to do partial seams!
It has inspired me to make a companion piece with a brown bear with a salmon.

Next you'll have to make a black bear with a bird feeder.

Oh that's adorable! Love the colors and the expression on his face. You could go a long way with this. You can several and have them hanging next to each other on the wall.
