How do you do it???? Do you cut and sew strips together like a Bargello? With such small pieces do you press seams open? Beautiful!! :!:

My quilts tell me that's what they want to be when they grow up!

Thanks for the compliment. It means a lot coming from a fellow quilter. This is not strip-pieced. It is constructed completely from 1 1/2" squares, used in identical sets of fours. The nicest part about this particular method is that you only press one time --- right before you're ready to add a row to the center. The strips are identical no matter which way you turn them, so its okay to press to one side, then they fit snugly together.

I just want you to know that now I'm saving all my tiny scraps!!! I've already made tons of HST at 1 1/2". THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!! I've got a small plastic bag already 3/4's full. I guess it'll be years before I get enough to make something with them though. I have a stack of scraps that I'm going to cut on down so maybe it won't take years, but close to it.

This postage stamp quilt is STUNNING to say the least. I've sent many 1 1/2" sqs. to other members for their "someday" quilts and admire everyone's patience to do this.
