Default Practice for my upcoming class

I'm not one for walking into a class, quilting or college, and not knowing what I am getting into. I don't do well with any kind of surprise. So I study ahead of time, make the quilt ahead of time. Then I can identify areas to question the instructor.

So I'm signed up for a Bonnie Hunter class, her last class of the year in Shipshewana in November. The pattern is Smith Mountain Morning. I've made two so far. As for Bonnie's mystery quilts, a lot of them are UFOs and I will have to revisit them.

This is the favorite set of colors; purple and green. The one with the nightmare pieced border. And of course there is a mistake....who can spot it now that it's done?

This one is the first one I made. I avoided the pieced border like the plague. Don't know what got into me, but I put the brown and blue one in a show/sale and it sold.

Both are lovely! I did not notice your mistake at first. Then, once I knew to look, took me awhile to find it!

Upper left corner block is turned?

Beautiful quilts... can't believe you've made two already!

I absolutely love that green and purple quilt it just sparkles to me. I have never made a Bonnie Hunter quilt nor would I just to many pieces for me. I seem to get bored easily the older I get. If it can't hold my attention it winds up a permanent UFO. Very happy for you that you were able to sell the first one, Good job!

Both of these are so lovely and daring to make before hand. I love them.

Lovely quilts. I like the purple/green combo the best and that border is awesome!

Wow, two made up before the class? You should ask Bonnie is she needs volunteer "teach-aids"! They are both lovely! Which color way are you planning to use on the class quilt?

I've got enough time and an overfilled tub of red. What about a red one? There is an example of a red one with piano keys border on Pinterest.

Both are amazingly beautiful. Hard to believe you made both of them.
