Yes, she covers thread. I had to use what I had on hand which was a mixture of Superior, Connecting Thread and the varigated was Coats and Clark. It depends on what colors you would like to use. The main purpose is something that will show the stitches.

I am a beginner. The only thing I have done is meandering. Just starting to try doing designs. As you can tell there are many, many mistakes, but I understand the more you do it the easier it gets. I hope.
