    Default Practice Quilt

I've been practicing my FMQ on this quilt for several years. It was made from some blocks that were done when I first started quilting. A definite case for the quilt police. Triangles with points cut off, color choices with very little contrast in color or scale. Weird block setting. But worst of all, polyester fabric. GASP!! And I'm not talking cotton/poly blend. This is 100% polyester! (Not all of it, just the cream color in the blocks.) What could I do with such a monstrosity? Use it for practice.

Every border has a different quilting design. Some have more than one design. Oopsies were left without correction. Multiple types and colors of thread. Some stencils, some my own dreamed up designs. I learned a lot with this quilt.

So here it is in all its glory. Enjoy!

I see a very pretty quilt that is upside down. Nothing wrong with it that can be seen in the photo.
