Practicing Feathers
#115
they look great... first time i tried them was in the border of a tablerunner... i showed them to dd, who said "weren't you supposed to sew on the chalk lines you drew?" my answer "the chalk lines wash off, the cotton batting shrinks, and they will look right!" and they did.

Know how you feel!! This week, I stepped out of my comfort zone and did some feathers and "curly candy"...I was soooo proud of how it turned out. I've had my longarm a year now...just doing meandering, stippling and loops. I've practiced drawing and drawing on a dry erase board, until I thought...if I can't do it now, I never will!! I can't wait to do another quilt now. :)
