Default Pretty in Pink Embroidery quilt

Jean loves to embroidery, but does not sew nor quilt. She has been stitching quilt tops for her grandchildren for several years now (I forget how many she has done). This beautiful top was brought to me with the request to stitch the blocks together, add a border, quilt and bind it. And I must say I enjoyed every single minute of the time I spent on it!! We chose to use Hobbs poly batting as the quilting stitches would not be close enough for the cotton batting. I quilted it with a double line of serpentine quilting stitches, one on each side of the blue printed lines. Jean was very pleased with it and I hope each of you enjoy her embroidery.

Is that hand embroidery? It's just beautiful. I haven't gotten quite that ambitious yet.

That is gorgeous! My mom does a lot of hand embroidery to put in her quilts and I just love that look. Thanks for sharing

Beautifully done!! Your quilting enhances the embroidery without overpowering it!! Great job by both!
