I love the "Flip Flops" This quilt has so many potential interpretations! What fun. I did find your blog and we are neighbors! I wish I had been with you at the river celebration. Did you just use a regular flip flop for your pattern? How did you attach the straps to the center for between the toes? I love your fabric choices and quilting! Great job. Thanks for sharing. ;-)
Do you live near Hillsboro? The pattern was applique, and it came with the flip flop applique pattern. I attached the straps using a zig zag stitch. It's not terribly "clean," but this quilt is just for fun. Then I put a button over the fold to cover the stitching somewhat. I noticed that a few of the buttons are pulling loose, unfortunately. I'm going to have to sew them down more securely. I tied a square knot, and so I'm not sure why it didn't hold.
