It's not too bad - yet  I have it all to the side and in front of me well supported. And I am working it a quarter at time from the middle to the edge. Then turning to the next quarter. It's not easy right in the middle keeping the folds on the right squished up against the machine, but I just take it slowly. I think the trick with doing one this size is not to work on it for too long a stretch at a time. I do about an hour then either go and do something else for a while and come back to it, or even call it quits for that day. I am purposely quilting each block separately, rather than "travelling" because then I am only navigating 12" at a time. |
That is beautiful!! Wow...

That is a very beautiful quilt!
I am impressed by your workmanship and your plan of action on such a large piece. |

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the blue and white combination - very crisp and fresh. I bet it would be beautiful with other colour combos too - red/white/ black/white, brown, cream, etc.. Is this your own pattern or did you get it from a book?

B. The quilts in it are all from the same block which is the 12in star plus the 6in and a plain 6in square next to it - but in different sizes and layouts. |
