I made this quilt for my 3 year old grandson, and with leftover fabric, did a matching pillowcase. The embroidered applique designs and inspiration are from Designs By JuJu (http://www.designsbyjuju.com/) and Embroidery Library (http://www.emblibrary.com).

What a wonderfull Idea to create sky and land or sea with the background fabric!! Did you make the blocks first and then placed the applique?
I used the same designs on this one |

Super cute boy quilts.

Can you all tell me where you go the patterns for the appliques or if they are iron on. Or point me in the right direction, please. Would love to make one of these for my son.
Thanks- Sheila |

I used the same designs on this one Hi Granny! Your quilt is really adorable! I love these designs. I did make the blocks first with the sky and land fabric, then did the applique on top. It was a fun project, and Kaden loves it :-D |

Thanks- Sheila Thanks everyone for your kind compliments. After all of the work we put into our creations, it's so nice to get the recognition :-D |
Thanks Tootsie for your answer. Where did you get that adorable fabric with the clouds?
Isnt it fun that boys all over the world love the same things?? |

Adorable quilts. A great book to go with these would be Richard Scarry's classic "Cars and Trucks and Things That Go." If you've never read it, it's a great story, a big book with tons of things to look at on each page. Girls like it as much as the boys. Great for ages 3 to 6. I've often given it as a baby shower gift. It was my nephew's and son's favorite book for several years.
