Well, I have finally decided to kick my fears in the butt and start the "Wedding Quilt"!!! To me, this is a VERY intimidating pattern! Of course, I started it out by telling my dear DIL to-be that since this is a block-of-the-month quilt that I will only be able to do one block a month! Whew---that gives me plenty of time to do a block, rip it out, redo it.....
Well, I sat down and did the first block and had so much fun with it that I decided to do another one today! I am trying to move slowly with it (first time sewing batiks and it is the "Wedding Quilt"), but I think it is turning out pretty good so far! Wish me luck!!!
We did change all of the fabrics as well.....will try to keep this updated!

I started with block one, intending to do them in order....however, my fav LQS is so nice, they let me use my Joann coupons there! So, I have been buying the fabric pieces only when I have a coupon and I am in town (not often). So, I don't have all the fabric bought yet and wanted to start! So, I am doing the ones that I have the fabrics for first!

I love your color choices. This will be gorgeous- don't rush it. It's going to be a wonderful quilt.

This is going to be a gorgeous quilt. Not to mention the love and sentimentality that is going into it. My avatar is the quilt I made for my own DD's wedding. I often cried and laughed out loud while working on it, just from thinking about all the wonderful years and times we had together while she was growing up.
