10-minute table runners

2 Attachment(s)
I made these Halloween table runners today for my two daughters. I may have to keep them instead of splitting them up! And they truly took 10 minutes each to make. I followed a tutorial on YouTube.

So cute. I've seen the tut before but forgot about it. Thank you for reminding me. Your daughters will love them.

Tartan 09-25-2013 07:50 PM

jbening 09-25-2013 07:58 PM

They are just delightful!

rvsfan 09-26-2013 04:15 AM

Do you put batting in your 10 minute table runners? If so, do you put it in the triangle ends? or just the rectangle part?

gabeway 09-26-2013 04:18 AM

Look good.

You tablerunner are really cute. I had't thought of using a bold print for the ends/back and a smaller for the center. Might try that myself with the next batch I make. I can never get them done in just 10 minutes. Takes me that long to decide what fabrics I want to use! Mine average about 15-20 minutes each, which is still quick. Here are some I made for an upcoming crafts fair -- hope they will sell.

Really neat. And now, there is a pattern to convert this basic runner into a tote bag. Anyone seen a pattern?

mighty 09-26-2013 06:52 AM

No, I have never put batting in but thought about using fusible Pellon and adding some quilting, but I too didn't know what to do on the ends!

Love your Hallowe'en ones! Just watched the video and I think this may be the "mystery" project that is planned for my retreat this weekend. They had us cut the central fabric at 12" x WOF and the coordinating at 18" x WOF and bring 2 fancy buttons....hmm.... :D
I have my fabrics cut which are for the Hallowe'en season...

I believe I saw how to make the bag on youtube and it was at the end of the tute for the tablerunner.

lynnie 09-26-2013 11:25 AM

I love the way you have one overlapped over the other. so cute.

kiffie2413 09-26-2013 11:36 AM

Loving those runners!
Mommessy, I love fabrics with sparkles...so yours are drawing me in...I have an idea, you keep one, ship me the other! That way neither of your daughters has to know...I know, I know...it's a sacrifice on my part, to take one off of your hands...but someone's gotta step up, eh??!!;)

K, you are too funny! The runners have already been snatched by each daughter! I don't even have one for myself! Guess I'd better get stitching!

Belfrybat 09-26-2013 06:08 PM

I didn't put batting in these, but I did in one I made for a Christmas exchange last year. I cut batting the size of the rectangle and slipped it in before sewing up the ends (easier said than done!). I then did an overall stippling, stitched the ends and finished by stiching the ends down with a decorative stitch. I don't like leaving the triangle open, so always stitch mine down.

lildinks2013 09-26-2013 06:10 PM

really cute. nice job.

lildinks2013 09-26-2013 06:14 PM

oh im sure these will sell. very nice I love making them. the hardest part is cutting them out -sewing is a snap. well done. and good luck in selling them

Lilrain 09-26-2013 08:43 PM

I loke the way you have them. I would also be tempted to keep them

lildinks2013 09-26-2013 09:00 PM

I think its on you tube. .

lildinks2013 09-26-2013 09:01 PM

Doesnt call for batting according to the instructions.
