10-year old standing on a dresser to quilt her first quilt
1 Attachment(s)
when my youngest granddaughter made her first quilt it was pretty important to her that she do it all herself- so we tipped a dresser on it's side for her to stand on so she could quilt it

That is totally awesome. She looks like a pro:)

Something for her (and you of course) to be very proud of!

Hopefully my daughter will catch the quilting bug. Tell her she is inspiring!!
|
That's awesome!!! She will love this pic when she gets older :)
|
You should have your granddaughter write about her quilt making experience. Send both the story and picture to Handiquilter.....she might get on their website

That is awesome. Someone to help with the quilting. Always nice to have someone to quilt with. Love the color of her quilt. Would love to see the finished quilt.

this is kind of an old picture- i just happened to come across it and share it- she is now 15- the only thing osha rules said the kids could not do was use a rotory cutter...they had to cut with scissors-or have an adult cut for them. this was taken in the sewing school almost 6 years ago....we've come a long way since then :) |
she looks like she is having fun wtg!!!!
|
That's fantastic! I would love to see the whole quilt when she gets it done.
|
How wonderful another generation is into quilting. Does she have her own little fabric stash yet?
