What an amazing quilter...and she looks great too! Give her a big HUG from us. Thanks so much for introducing Elsie to the QB and sharing her lovely work with us.

vagabondmom 10-08-2011 03:28 PM

Beautiful quilt and wonderful that she can still quilt - I hope to be as active as that when I'm older. At the auction I attended today, a framed embroiderd picture was sold that depicted several elderly women holding up a quilt and the saying around the perimeter said, "At 103 we want to be at a quilting bee" You go Elsie.

blueangel 10-08-2011 03:37 PM

sheliab12 10-09-2011 04:03 AM

You said a lady at work. I am amazed just like everyone else here on quilting at that age. Please tell me she is a resident where you work and the poor thing is not still working? However, maybe that is the secret keep working for mind and body. Somehow when I workd my mind and body did not seem to thrive all that much

Ditto! 40 more years for me to perfect these jigsaw pieces I keep cutting!

helenip 10-09-2011 05:03 AM

Beautiful quilt. Elsie is fortunate in many ways.

hikingquilter 10-09-2011 05:07 AM

Absolutely lovely! May we all live long and healthy lives as Elsie has. AND be able to quilt! There just may be time to get in those "someday" projects after all! :)
