You really worked. The quilts should raise lots of funds.
|
wow.....whatever you decide to do with them I am sure will make someone happy.
|
I can only say WOW WOW WOW to the beauty of the quilts and to the "express" work :-P
I love the pattern of the first ones and I actually have been thinking using it on one of my next quilts. |
Post them here on the board for sale. They are gorgeous!
|
Gayle, they are all absolutely beautiful!!!! Wow, I'm amazed at your ability to get them all made so fast. AWESOME!!! :D:D
|
I just love your quilts! I belong to 2 quilt guilds and they both make charity quilts of all kinds - and I am always looking for patterns that would make up easily. Would it be possible for you just give me a little sizing info on them - the top ones look like the center 'rail' is about double the size of the 2 outer ones - is that correct?
Thanks, Sandy in Mooresville, NC |
Good golly Miss Molly. when did you find the time to do all of that????!! those are so neat. You did a good job.
|
Wow! Wow! Wow!!! They are all so beautiful.
|
They are all beautiful. I wish I had your talent. It takes me forever to choose the fabric. I have two under my belt and several more planned. I keep reading the board my list of to do's will take me a long long time.
|
They will no doubt go exactly where they are needed most. What a blessing, to have them ready when you need them.
|
Just curious, but what is a mops mentor mom?

So.... about Thanksgiving time I asked my DH and he said "sure" if you want to make a few things. So..... I whipped up 11 quilts in 3 weeks time. I made 6 baby size, similar to the "Downey" quilts and 5 larger, lap size quilts using the warm wishes pattern. They are both really easy patterns and I can whip them up quickly. All the fabrics were pulled directly from my stash.
And the result.......... Hardly anyone came to the boutique, which I kinda had a feeling would happen..... and I didn't sell anything but a couple of old craft items that I dug out of the garage. |
Rats, that's disappointing.

Any way, I am their "Mentor Mom" The been there, done that, lived to tell the story. I help the steering committe run the program and am there to listen to and guide or just come alongside these ladies. It is a real blessing for me. I just wish that I didn't have to rush off to work after the meetings and that I could spend more time with them! |

Yes, I did use my walking foot and followed along the ditch. It is a lot lot easier than trying to stay perfectly in the ditch!!!! Try using some of your decorative stitches along the ditch. |
Excellent stashbusters - did it make much of a dent?
|
Unbelieveable! and i have no bad eye so

My goodness, Gayle! I am amazed and awed ... and jealous -- all at the same time! I can only dream of getting 11 quilts done in 3 weeks. What wonderful work, and such beautiful quilts. You definitely are talented, and I can only hope that your talent will seap over the hill to my neighborhood. We are neighbors ... I'm in Somis. I have been wanting to introduce myself to you for quite a while now. I hope someday we can meet.

Too bad they didn't sell at the boutique. A lot of customers missed out on some very beautiful and well made quilts.
