I love the applique -- you designed it??!!! I love the hand quilting. And I love the story of how it took 14 years to complete -- yes, now that is part of your quilt's story. The complete package is more than the sum of it's parts, and you should be thrilled with the end product. I'm thrilled FOR you!

It does feel so good to be done, but one bad thing about taking so long in finishing something is that you envision this quilt done with the new fabrics that are available now, and with an eye that has more experience since it was started, so I look at it thinking "why did I use that color, or that petal isn't laying as flat as I'd like". All of your praise makes all those kinds of thoughts disappear, thank you again.
