Why would you want to sell such a treasure?

GramaLaura 04-03-2011 01:48 PM

OMG what a treasure! Label it with what you know before sending it away. Research please.....it is a real keepsake :-D

H as small stain...where can I get values on quilts in case I would sell this one?

I would suggest getting it appraised. You could contact the local quilt guild for names of appraisers. I have two quilts from civil war era --one appraised at $2500 and the other at $500. Even the appraiser was surprised at the value of the $2500 one--had something to do with all the information I had about the maker, etc. as well as the fabrics that had been used.

Wow! I could never part with
that beauty. I have several
that my grandmother made and
won't part with them either.
They are 70+ years old. Still
in good shape. Enjoy!!!!
