You paid a fair price for the machine and I love the cabinet! That and the fact that you have the accessories to go with it maes it that much better.

Thanks

So, I didn't get ripped off?

I don't know about the machine, but the cabinet is well worth that. New Home is a good machine, my grandmother had one (not a treadle). I think you got a great deal, she is beautiful.

If I wanted to restore this machine, is there anywhere I could get details of the art work on the machine.

What's a treadle? I really don't know anything about sewing or sewing machines. I just like old antiques. When I paid 75.00 for it I wasn't sure if I got a deal or got ripped off.

The treadle is the power source of the machine, the cast iron stand it is sitting on. If you bought it for the an investment then dont expect a huge return. Sewing machines are one of the worst investments to make. Their value is going up but very slowly. Now antique autos is a whole 'nuther ball game!

The reason to own an antique or vintage sewing machine is because you enjoy using them or you like the memories it brings.

Yea, I really wasn't planning on trying to resale it. Just wanted to know if you thought I paid to much for it. Was the original art work on these machines hand painted or were they decals. If they where decals can they be purchased anywhere.

Thank
Sam
