How wonderful!! What a real treasure! When I was 12, my Grandmother gave me my Great-Grandma's sewing basket, but all of its contents have not survived another 50, although I do still have and treasure the basket.
Treasures like these contain the "threads to our past".

What a wonderful treasure to have...
I only have my grandmother's pinking shears and an old pin cushion... nothing more...my grandfather dumped her Queen Anne sewing cabinet and her button boxes because no one NEEDED them. He didn't even ask if anyone wanted them

That sewing box has so many family stories inside. Too bad she can't talk and tell you all she's seen. What a fantastic heirloom. It is worth so much more with the contents. Thank you for showing it all to us.
