1930s Quilt
4 Attachment(s)
I just finnished this adorable baby quilt for a lovely mom and her baby girl born this Summer. It is made of all kinds of 1930 reproduction scraps I still had on hand. I am very happy how it came out. I used older pink dot fabric, I received in a hand me down box, on the back. I really like using up and finding a home for the fabric that has been sitting there even though it is perfectly good. It went so well with the rest of the quilt. It is hard to let this one go but I know the mommy will be thrilled and the quilt put to good use. Quilted by me on my Janome 6500. I used Anita Grossman Solomon's techniques for making the square in a square blocks.
Here is the tute for the square in a square. http://videos.hgtv.com/video/super-f...-cutting-62245 |

I hope, this being a scrappy baby quilt, it will go along with most of the baby girl's outfits. |
This is just such a nice quilt. Love your colors and design! And thank you for sharing all of the information, so good of you. Isn't it fun when you make just the right quilt for just the right people?

So cute ! They will love it.

This is so cute and girly! I might just do a take off on this if the next baby quilt I have to do is for a girl. Keeping fingers crossed for the mom-to-be. They have 2 boys and I know she really wants a girl but I do foresee another boy in her future!
