Well as you all know I am fairly new on this forum and am learning how to post pictures. My sister too is addicted to this forum, and I live in TN and she lives in Colorado. She wanted me to post a picture of my quilt that I am currently working on (with about 100 other things). It is taking me forever because I am hand quilting, and I am a novice. So here goes and I hope the pictures come through.

That is looking so pretty... :-)

That 30's fabric is so special! I love anything made with it. You have some very nice blocks in this quilt .. good job on the quilting too!

I have a small stash of 30's fabric I have begun collecting for something too ... I just have to figure out what! LoL! Do you want to quilt mine when it is finished??? It looks like you are really getting the hang of that hand quilting fast! (j'kg)

Sew and Sew 04-18-2009 05:38 PM

Thank you all for your warm comments. I never realized until now how drawn I was to that fabric......I have 2 more quilts ready to put together.......from you guessed it.......1930's fabric......Maybe I am getting too much hung on that..........reminds me of granny and her love of quilting. Those times were my favorite summers growing up. In the summer we would go to North Carolina to the farm, and I guess that is when my love for quilting and the country life started.

I love samplers and I love 30s fabrics. That makes this quilt just about perfect! Well done! I'll look forward to seeing another pic when you get it all quilted!

I LOVE 30's repro's. Your quilt is lovely. I really like the blocks you chose and can't wait to see it after it's finished. I've been collecting these and want to start a sampler quilt for my guest room. Would like to hand quilt it also and that will be another first for me. These fabrics always give me a happy feeling.

I don't have much experience with the 30's fabrics, but if I had some and they turned out like your quilts...I can see that changing pretty quickly! I love that!
