Beautiful quilt. I actually like the large flower border. It gives the quilt a sassy look. Please post the finished quilt. I can't wait to see it.

Gorgeous top! You did a great job.

I like the solid color border. It really makes the colors in the rest of the quilt pop.

I'm glad that you found and re-did the blocks- it looks lovely. I would agree that a small border would be best.

Aren't you happy you hung onto those pieces for all those years? It looks fabulous. There seems to be quite a conflict in ideas for your border so I will just say I love your pinwheel quilt. : )

I agree with someone else that it really doesn't even need borders. That being said, to make larger, I would add a thin solid (like your blue) about 1-1.5" finished and then the smaller flower but not too much wider than your blocks. Bind in blue.

I think I like the smaller print on the left just because it does not pull your eye away from the body of the quilt, the giant pinwheel made of the little pinwheels. What a clever quilt a pinwheel of pinwheels!

Wonderful quilt. I'd take the fabric you have on the left and fussy cut the narrow print to set off the entire quilt.
It looks like a vertical stripe, but, pattern. Just narrow enough and small print.

Love the effect of the big pinwheel made the block shading. I really like the large flowered bordered (on the right) something about the colours in it really complement the pinwheels.

How about a thinner boarder that does not take the eye away from the incredible spinning wheel blocks?
