What a beautiful quilt. Your quilting is amazing especially since it's the first you've done since breaking your wrist. Keep your beautiful quilts coming!!!!

Over the years since I became 40 I have broken both wrists separately and had both in plaster at the same time. Living on my own was a problem at times but I coped. Last year had an operation to remove a bone in the wrist it is now no pain and it doesn't throb at night. After a long time getting back to full mobility has been very time consuming. This site has been very popular.
The problem putting the quilt on the frame was probably the worst part and it just not wanting to move at times. After 6 months of hand sewing my movement is great.

Keep going at the twelve month time to the last operation etc you begin to feel fantastic. Even the pain seems to disappear. Your quilting is great.

Some bones don't heal according to a schedule. Mine didn't either. That is a beautiful quilt and even though you think it affected your final project, I don't see any issues and it is beautiful. So soft and snuggly looking. Glad you are back.

I'm glad you are mending as well as you are and can now quilt again.

Not giving up the enjoyment of snow sports is also wonderful. I never could understand the sport of skiing. To fast downhill with no chance to enjoy the scenery. Now, snowshoeing is more my thing. I lived in central NY and it is great shoeing country. I just love strapping on those shoes and walking on top of four, five and six feet of packed snow. We would go right out to the beaver dams in the middle of the large ponds and sit real quiet and listen to the beavers talking to each other and the babies (Kits) tiny voices. Tall woods to explore and follow tracks to fox dens, bobcats and deer. Oh! what great memories were made on a pair of snowshoes! Thanks!
peace
